Resource Efficient Worcestershire Programme

The Resource Efficient Worcestershire Programme was an initiative carried out by Worcestershire County Council in Partnership with Hereford & Worcester Chamber of Commerce, with the source of the grant funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Worcestershire County Council.

The programme offered resource efficiency assessments and grants to small and medium size businesses in Worcestershire, to help save energy, water and waste. The source of the grant funding is from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Worcestershire County Council.

As a business we are continually looking for ways to both reduce our energy consumption and improve onsite working conditions, therefore this initiative fitted in perfectly with our overall objectives.

The Resource Efficient Worcestershire Programme supported Reddiplex through conducting an initial energy saving site survey in 2014 which recommended the site-wide replacement of lighting systems.

This recommendation was auctioned and successfully completed by our Site Manager Graham Cooper, who believes “The lighting has improved working conditions for our staff and proven cost saving have been seen in our electrical consumption. It has prompted us to consider further ideas for potential cost saving projects and we look forward to working with the programme team again in the future.”
