Innovative Pile Weatherstrip, Weatherpile or Brush Pile

Reddiplex are specialists in the manufacture and supply of pile weatherstripping (sometimes referred to as weatherstrip, weatherpile or brush pile). Silhouette pile, fin and mono are examples of Reddiplex Group's innovation in weatherstripping technology. With more than 20 years experience in manufacturing pile weatherstripping products Reddiplex Group have achieved a worldwide reputation, second to none, for product quality and service.

SILHOUETTE MONO is identical in construction to SILHOUETTE PILE except that it has the addition of a monofilament centre weave which gives extra durability on, for example, roller shutter applications.

Construction
Product construction comprises a semi-rigid translucent polypropylene base molecularly bonded to a flexible polypropylene multi-filament yarn seal.

This construction allows for glide fitting into the seal housing thus eliminating snagging during the seal fitting operation whilst at the same time providing a soft seal when in contact with the sealing surface.

Also, a number of alternative base designs are available including various arrowhead shapes (further information available upon request).

Polypropylene is characterised by outstanding strength and durability.

Silhouette products are:

• Operate over a wide range of temperatures
• Highly resistant to abrasion, ozone and biological attack

Air Penetration Resistance
Silhouette products exceed the severe weather rating requirements (class 3) of BS5368: 1976. They also comply with the requirements of the Architectural Aluminium Manufacturers Association of the USA (AAMA 701.2-1974).

Size availability
All products are available in nominal standard base widths of 6.0mm and 7.0mm.

Pile heights range from 5.0mm to 18.0mm in 1.0mm increments with a tolerance of plus or minus 0.5mm and therefore exceed the heights available for Standard Pile products.

Additional product height provides the key benefit of extra sealing capacity.

Colour availability
Product colours are black, grey, brown and white.

Product lengths and packaging
Silhouette products are packed on reels, 2 per outer carton.
Reel lengths vary from a maximum of 850 metres per reel dependent upon product dimensions (further information available upon request).
